Wishlist: off-the-shelf
This is a list of items friends and relatives could select from when deciding on a present for a birthday or Christmas:
- Computer display monitor, resolution 1920x1200. I currently have a dual-monitor system with two HP L2445m 1920x1200 monitors. They are running from two ATI Radeon HD 5800 1GB graphics cards crossfired together. With 3 monitors, I could play 3D games (programmed to run on 3 monitors) and really get into them. I just saw one such game at a 3-monitor system at Futureshop. Impressive.
- Ironing board slip cover. The old one is getting, well, old.
- Underwear, good quality, like Calvins; definitely not Stanfields.
- Socks.
- Heated birdbath also obtainable from Lee Valley.
- Gift card for Starbucks, 2nd Cup, Bridgehead, Best Buy.
- SimsCity, the new one scheduled to come out in March 2013.
- Shelf system or organizer to hold shoes and shoe-cleaning stuff. Can be in 1 or 2 parts, but one part must fit into the base of the clothes closet by the back door into the garage. Objective is to be able to store existing shoes easily and yet present them for easy access. Also to allow more shoes and boots to be stored; for example, for guests.
- More up-to-date UPS (unlimited power supply) for my home computer network.
- 4-foot diameter half-moon single-pane (non-thermal) windows to replace the two decaying ones in my attic before birds and bats fly through to nest inside.
- Thin vertical panels on either side of the two bathroom windows to finish off the blinds on each window. Color = burgundy/maroon.
